HVS / HVM parallel connection / combiner box

Modified on Mon, 31 Oct, 2022 at 12:06 PM

Important in advance: the parallel connection of several towers only works with the same towers (same battery type, same number of modules in each case).
Cabling / installation (including parallel connection) is described in the brief instructions. Please wire exactly as described there.
By the way: When connected in parallel, the master / slave principle is used, so only the master is configured using the app / PC tool. The slave doesn't. Therefore, only the master is connected to the inverter for communication purposes. The slave doesn't. (see images on pages 44 and 57): https://docs.eft-systems.de/download/0c99b803c0&_lang=en

A DC busbar must be used to connect the HVS or HVM in parallel. This collection box does not necessarily have to be from BYD. You could also do this yourself or use another provider for a similar product (but then it is important that the cable routes are appropriately secured).
But there is also a matching DC combiner box from BYD for the HVS / HVM. Details below. Please direct any questions regarding price / delivery times to wholesalers.

Please also note the correct order:
1. Switch off the inverter and batteries completely
2. Switch on all battery towers
3. Configure only the master (look for the correct Wifi!) Or save the configuration again. The LEDs on all BCUs should then turn white. Only then do they recognize each other.
4. Only then switch on the inverter
